All fractions can be converted into decimals. Sample problem here.
Fraction to decimal (F > D)
There are common fractions whose decimal equivalents you might already know from everyday experience.
(A common name for is "onequarter"...as in 25 cents.)
There are two ways to turn a fraction into a decimal:
 Method 1  divide the numerator by the denominator
 Method 2  rename the fraction so that the denominator is a power of 10 (ex. 10 or 100 or 1000, etc.)

Decimal to fraction (D > F)
To turn a decimal into a fraction you need to be familiar with place value. Then reduce the fraction to its simiplest form.
